Bringing Nature
into your home.
Wildlife Portrait painted with love and inspired by my wild friends. I want to share the joy, magic and beauty of Nature and ALL of its creatures — big or small.
Each creature in nature contribute to the beauty of what surrounds us.
Capturing these special interactions with my camera manifested my desire to paint these beautiful animals.

Feeling Squirrely \\ Medium: Acrylic \\ Size: 24 x24 -- Meet Belle! Belle was my 5th wild Squirrel friend. It all started with me kneeling down on my deck fixing a flower pot when all of a sudden I feel something land on my back and crawl onto my head. I froze as to not scare whatever creature it was, and was surprised by a tail falling in my face. I realized it was a squirrel! Every time I came outside Belle would show up. She eventually would come running no matter what time of the day it was when I did the special call for her. She would appear behind my window to get my attention, scratch at the door, and come in the house to find me. Belle wasn’t scared of my dogs and knew she was safe with me. We would simple just hang out, or sometimes I bit hazelnuts into smaller pieces for her as she impatiently climbed all over me. She never ran off, she just sat on my lap eating away. I would watch her bring mushrooms and bird eggs to hide them in my tree by my deck knowing no predators would steal it. She also had a massive stash of pinecones that I gathered for her. Belle was smart, loving and very crafty!

Waspy \\ Medium: Acrylic \\ Size: 24 x 24 in -- Meet Waspy, the one who started my painting journey. I found Waspy in my basement one cold January day, barely moving but still alive, so I brought her upstairs and warmed her until she revived. I later learned she was a female paper wasp. Because she had been living indoors and could not handle cold nights, I cared for her until it was warm enough to release her outside on June 2nd. Waspy was my roommate for 4.5 months, always choosing Manuka honey and water, often falling asleep on my hand after eating, and showing a trust that deepened my love for wasps. She liked to sleep near the window, but the curtain sometimes ended up hitting her, so I put up a small sticky-note and she quickly learned to sleep safely behind it every night. Wasps are far smarter and gentler than most people think, even recognizing faces and remembering how they are treated. Waspy touched my heart, may she touch yours!
MY PAINTING JOURNEY
Nature has always been a part of my life. I spent my childhood rescuing stray and wild animals (and insects). Insects that find their way into my home get a drop of water before being released back to freedom.
Nature has always been a part of my life. Being in nature, surrounded by all its magical inhabitants, has always been deeply healing for me. It brings me peace and allows me to reset my mind and body.
Photographing nature is one of my passions, and I love capturing my interactions with the animals and insects I encounter. I want to showcase the beauty of wildlife, no matter the species. Each animal or insect has its own personality, making every experience with them unique.
To me, nature is the very definition of magic— and I want to share that magic with others.
